Blood Moons – Watch the sky for signs…

The past couple of weeks at church we have been researching and looking into the scripture in Luke 21:25, which states “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;” (KJV).  Pastor Chuck brought to our attention the evidence that is being laid out by NASA and other entities regarding the signs of the sky with the Blood Moon’s that will be happening over the next 13 months.  Do these occur? Yes.  What is so significant about these?  Well it is significant because there will be four happening within a 13 month period, all falling on Jewish feast days.  What is significant about that?  Well in the past every time has happened, Israel experienced major changes (became a nation, had six-day war, etc).

Do we need to be in fear?  No.  Do we need to stay focused and be more vigilant?  Yes.  I myself fall short of this, I get caught up in the daily routine of work, school, life in general…but I allow one of the greatest relationships of my life to fall short.  My relationship with Christ – I fail to read my Bible like I should, I grab five minutes “conversation” as I’m driving down the road asking Him to be with my family and church family throwing in others every once in awhile, fasting is something that is pretty much unheard of — I try and fail, my stomach thinks my throat has been cut, I get severe heartburn, and the hunger pains are like non other.  You would think that I had been stranded on a remote island for weeks on end.  But I know that’s not the case…this is a part of my life that needs some work.

We’ve heard it our whole lives “God is coming back”, but do we truly believe it?  Do we live like it on a day to day basis?  Are we looking up at the heavens expecting them to part and we go home?  Are we following the Bible?  Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed (Acts 19:2)?  It  is for everyone…regardless, it is a promise.  Do I need to change some things in my life…of course.  But it is a daily walk, and I may fail today but I can pick myself back up and go at it again.  God loves me, He died for me…at least I can do is live for Him.

Now back to the first portion of this…the Blood Moons.  Following are some websites to check out if you are interested, or just Google it and read up.
